Sustainability is about to go mainstream in toys – are you ready?

Highlight presentation from the Toy Business Forum at Spielwarenmesse 2024

The Toy Business Forum offered the audience at Spielwarenmesse 2024 plenty of toy know-how. This week's WebcastWednesday features a presentation on sustainability by toy retailer and eco-activist Sharon Keilthy.

About the presentation

Eco-friendly toys are still considered a nice to have and not a real profit maker. However, this will soon change, as various EU regulations will come into force in the next one to two years. The battle for good staff, changes in consumer behavior and improved access to credit for producers of sustainable toys will do the rest. In her presentation, Sharon Keilthy, herself a toy retailer, will share valuable knowledge on how to make your business more sustainable. Based on her practical experience, the eco-activist will also provide recommendations on what action you can take as a result.

About the speaker

Sharon founded the world's first eco-activist toy store Jiminy.ie and sold €1 million eco toys to date. All carbon-neutral and minimal-waste. She co-founded Women in Toys Sustainability Learning Community. Faculty, Toy Design Degree Otis College Los Angeles.
