Highlights of the ToyCity

DB Museum

Founded back in 1882, today's DB Museum is the oldest railway museum in the world. At the heart of the museum is an interactive exhibition on the history of the railway in Germany. On two floors, visitors embark on a journey through more than 200 years of railway history. The original vehicles are a real crowd-puller. Around 40 railway legends await museum visitors in two halls, including a replica of the ‘Adler’, Germany's first locomotive. Another highlight is the Modellarium with over 2,000 models in various scales and the historic model railway layout from the 1960s.

Exhibition: Shelter for cuddly animals

A cat who wants to be mayor? A turtle that tells the future? A dog that in a previous life exposed drug smugglers? Animals in animal shelters often have eventful lives behind them. The exhibition 'Animal Shelter for Cuddly Animals' tells the story. In fictional stories, we learn about the adventures of cats, rabbits and other animals, and how they all end up with a happy ending. For the first time since the Toy Museum opened, animals from the animal shelter are on display - in plush, of course.
