50 years of Rubik's Cube: the square cube is now celebrating rounds

In 1974, Hungarian engineer Ernő Rubik invented a multicolored rotating cube and with it an iconic puzzle. Today, 50 years later, the Rubik's Cube has a cult following: Spider-Man has one, Will Smith solved it on the big screen, mathematicians use it as an example for group theories and it has won its own world championship in speedcubing. The Rubik's Cube has become a symbol of logical thinking, perseverance and creative problem solving. Millions of people worldwide have succumbed to the fascination of the cube, improving not only their patience but also their pattern recognition and strategic thinking skills.
