Asmodee is traded on the stock exchange
On 7 February 2025, Asmodee Group AB completed its IPO on Nasdaq Stockholm. As of this date, the company's B-shares are traded under the ticker symbol ASMDEE. This step follows a resolution of the Extraordinary General Meeting of Embracer Group AB on 7 January 2025, where all Asmodee shares were transferred to Embracer's shareholders. Shareholders registered on 5 February 2025 as the record date thus received one Asmodee share for each Embracer share, resulting in a total number of 233,692,028 outstanding shares.
Comments on the IPO
Asmodee CEO Thomas Koegler emphasised the company's development in his statement: ‘Over the past 30 years, Asmodee has become a global leader in board games, with a unique network that connects some of the industry's best-known brands to our global distribution model, both for our own games and those of our partners.’
Stock exchange listing promotes future growth
He added that the listing on Nasdaq Stockholm represents another milestone in the company's 30-year history and will further support future growth. ‘I am very proud of our teams, whose dedication, hard work and passion have made this day and the start of this new chapter possible. The decision to transfer all shares in Asmodee to Embracer shareholders underlines the company's strategic change of course. With the listing on Nasdaq Stockholm, Asmodee is now positioning itself more strongly on the international financial markets, which is seen as an important step for future expansion and development.
