Camp opens Los Angeles flagship store

It’s official: Camp is a national retailer with stores on both coasts

The experiential retailer that describes itself as “part toy store, part activity destination, and all good vibes” opened a flagship outpost at Westfield Century City in Los Angeles this week. The company’s ninth location is the first of several planned for the West Coast. The 7,000 square foot location opened to families with the “Base Camp” theme that the retailer first debuted at its Fifth Avenue flagship in New York City a few years ago.

The Base Camp theme includes the Magic Door that opens into an immersive, summer camp-themed area that includes a host of activities spread across multiple cabins.

For its Grand Opening, Camp partnered with Mattel’s Barbie brand, RVshare, and Visit California for an interactive in-store Barbie-themed cabin and a themed campsite.
