Consumer sentiment in the eurozone brightened surprisingly significantly in November. The barometer for consumer confidence rose by 0.9 points to minus 16.9 points, according to data published by the EU Commission on Wednesday. Economists surveyed by Reuters had only expected an increase to minus 17.6 points. However, the economic indicator is still well below the long-term average.
