Around 15,000 trade visitors from 115 countries took the opportunity to see the latest products and innovations on site, make contacts and do business.
“Innovation Award” and “Midwives' Choice”
With the presentation of the “Innovation Award” and the additional “Midwives' Choice” award, the accompanying special show and a wide-ranging lecture program, Kind + Jugend provided visitors with a comprehensive overview of new developments, future trends and innovations from industry and trade. At the Trend Forum, experts from Germany and abroad took the opportunity to present the latest studies and analyses, explain business models and showcase best practices to an interested specialist audience.
The top trends
The top trends at this year's Kind + Jugend included multifunctional products that make everyday life easier and products that grow with the child, ergonomics and smart technology that increase children's safety. Sustainability also continued to be a central focus. More and more products are being made from recycled materials. Some manufacturers even offer programs for recycling and upcycling.
Trade fair scored with new and enhanced formats
This year, Kind + Jugend relied on tried-and-tested formats such as the Start-up Area and the Young Innovators area as well as newly designed elements that were very well received on all three days of the fair. On the one hand, the Innovations Parcours, which offered a compact overview of the most exciting new products of the year, celebrated its premiere, and on the other hand, there was a new networking zone, which created even more space and opportunity for personal exchange and business deals.
Social projects
The trade fair was also involved in social projects: On the occasion of Koelnmesse's 100th anniversary, 100 products were donated to charity in cooperation with Diakonie Michaelshoven.
