Licensing Expo Announces ‘Day of Purpose’ Agenda

Licensing Expo has announced its agenda for the three-day show, which is designed to actively engage attendees while strengthening the global community at the 2023 show.

"As we gather in Las Vegas from 13-15 June for Licensing Expo, let's be mindful that our brands can make people's daily lives better," said Ella Haynes, Event Director, Global Licensing Group, Informa Markets.  "Within the Global Licensing Group, we are committed to highlighting and finding ways to make social engagement possible for our visitor base."

Here are some examples:

The Ronald McDonald House

Licensing Expo, Crayola and the Ronald McDonald House are collaborating on the "Spread Kindness" campaign for Day of Purpose. On Thursday from 1-2 p.m. at the South Seas Ballrooms, children from Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of Greater Las Vegas will get creative with Crayola "Colors of Kindness"

The Crayola crayons and colouring books feature special messages encouraging everyone to colour with love. Children will also meet CARRIE, JJ and MIKEY from Laser, provided by the Mascot Company.

The It Gets Better project

June is the month to celebrate LGBTQ+ self-awareness. To mark the occasion, Licensing Expo will partner with the non-profit organisation It Gets Better Project to host a Pride Café on the show floor to support LGBTQ+ youth through donations, with the aim of promoting, empowering and connecting LGBTQ+ youth around the world. The café will host an on-site representative, educational materials and scannable QR codes that visitors and exhibitors can use to donate. Guests can also donate in advance of the event through Licensing Expo's It Gets Better portal.

Finally, Licensing Expo will host a panel discussion in collaboration with the international publication Products of Change to help licensors, licensees, agents, manufacturers, service providers and retailers gradually establish sustainable development to implement necessary business and product changes. The Industry Framework is a two-year collaborative project that draws on cross-industry expertise to develop a set of practical, future-proof guidelines for and by the industry.
