Manga Day enters its third round

After a brilliant start in 2022, Manga Day has not only established itself among fans. It is set to become a permanent fixture. 

The next Manga Day will take place on 21 September 2024

On Manga Day, fans - also known as otaku - will receive free, extensive reading samples of selected manga in all participating comic and book shops and libraries. These are a mix of established series and current novelties. Whether fantasy, romance, mystery or drawing instructions - there is something for everyone.

Shaping Manga Day

Since its launch in August 2022, many other publishers and labels have joined in to help shape Manga Day. Participating in the 2024 edition are altraverse, Carlsen Manga, Crunchyroll, Egmont Manga, Hayabusa, Loewe Manga, Manga Cult, Manga JAM Session, Manlin, Panini, Tokyopop and Topp. They are all producing a total of 30 free reading samples for Manga Day.

After the first Manga Day in 2022 was initially limited to Germany, Austria and Luxembourg, comic and book shops in Switzerland also took part from 2023! This will continue in 2024.

Detailed works by Reyhan

The artwork for Manga Day 2024 is by artist Reyhan, who is known beyond the community for her detailed and dynamic works. She has already published several manga single volumes with Tokyopop and Pyramond and has contributed fantastic short stories to anthologies.
