MegaHouse launches world’s smallest Rubik’s Cube

The Japanese toy company MegaHouse has presented a miniature Rubik's Cube. It is so small that you need tweezers to remove it.

The individual sides of the cube made of aluminum have a diameter of around five millimeters, the dimensions of the sides of the nine squares measure just 1.6 millimeters. Its total weight is only 0.3 grams. This makes it only about one thousandth the size of the original.

Guinness World Record confirmed the micro cube in August as the smallest rotating puzzle cube in the world.

The tiny cube can be pre-ordered on the manufacturer's website and is expected to be delivered in April next year.

“The 5-millimeter Rubik's Cube is the result of the trinity of machines, cutting tools and the passion of players,” said Kiyokazu Saito, president of Iriso Precision, the company commissioned to do the precision cutting, in a promotional video on the toy maker's website.
