Licensing Horizons Awards presented in Dubai for the first time

The MENA ("Middle East and North Africa") region is making its mark with the awards, recognizing excellence in children's entertainment and educational content.
The inaugural Licensing Horizons Awards took center stage at the highly acclaimed Licensing Horizons conference, held in collaboration between BrandTrends Group, the leading market research agency, and Markettcom, the renowned licensing agency, at the end of February. The event is supported by Licensing International. It is therefore regarded as an important event for the global licensing industry. 100 licensing professionals took part in 2024. With Maura Regan, President and CEO of Licensing International, as keynote speaker, the conference provided a valuable platform for decision-makers.


Rigorous and transparent selection process

All awards are based solely on data sourced directly from consumers in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), reflecting the preferences of children aged 0-14. This approach ensures that the awards are not influenced by external factors, but document the mood and preferences of consumers in these dynamic markets. Various categories are judged, as well as the innovation, resonance and influence of brands in the ever-evolving licensing landscape.


About the Awards

The awards directly reflect the preferences and choices of young audiences in the region, providing a detailed analysis of brand awareness, popularity and purchase intentions of key entertainment brands. The most important aspect is the prediction of purchase intentions for specific product categories. More than 11,500 different entertainment, fashion or sports brands are reported on four times a year, and more than 200,000 people aged from toddlers to senior citizens in 42 countries are surveyed.
