Moonbug appoints new Head Global Music, Strategic Audio Initiatives

Moonbug Entertainment has hired former Spotify executive Courtney Holt as the children's content factory's first global head of music and strategic audio initiatives. Moondug creates and distributes the most popular YouTube channels for kids, namely Cocomelon and Blippi.

Holt joins Moonbug after spending five years at Spotify as head of conversational partnerships, editorial and global markets. Prior to that, he was at Maker Studios, where he worked with future Candle co-founder Kevin Mayer. Prior to that, Holt held positions at MySpace, MTV and UMG.

Based in Los Angeles, Courtney Holt will focus on strategic partnerships with artists and building the company's music label.
