Moonbug Entertainment lays off CoComelon employees

Moonbug, the London-based company, has laid off a number of employees. The background to the decision is the termination of long-term projects for the company's largest franchise. Other jobs were also cut as part of the restructuring.

The redundancies are said to primarily affect the majority of CoComelon's writers and design team.

The redundancies were confirmed by a company spokesperson: “As with any other production, some of Moonbug’s long-term projects have been finalized, as is the case with a few CoComelon pipelines, which means some roles are no longer required. Consequently, as part of a strategic restructure to fuel further growth, a small number of team members have departed the organization.”
