New EU guidelines for Toy Safety

The EU Commission and the Expert Group on the Safety of Toys draw up guidelines to assist manufacturers, importers, distributors and authorities in the interpretation and application of Directive 2009/48/EC on the safety of toys. The guides are not legally binding, but reflect the views of the majority of the members of the expert group. The revised versions of both Guides 13 (Decorative and collectible articles) and 20 (Handicrafts) are now available on the European Commission's website: single-market-economy.ec.europa.eu/sectors/toys/toy-safety/guidance_en
