NürnbergMesse: Sustainable stand construction with ECO-Rips carpeting
NürnbergMesse is now offering its customers a sustainable, 100 percent recyclable carpet for all of its complete rental stands. All special areas at events in Nuremberg have been fitted with the sustainable carpet since the beginning of the year.
Offering sustainable services and options
“The integration of sustainable service offerings for our exhibitors is a key objective. Exhibition stand construction plays a key role in making trade fairs and congresses more sustainable,” says Dr. Martin Kassubek, Senior Vice President Business Development at NürnbergMesse Group.
The 100 percent recyclable ECO-Rips carpet from the manufacturer MARKUS GmbH is automatically provided in all complete rental stands of NürnbergMesse. The carpet offers the usual durability of conventional exhibition carpets - with the advantage that it is fully recycled after use and returned to the material cycle.
No additional expense for exhibitors
Together with its service partners Messebau Wörnlein and Holtmann+, NürnbergMesse is thus making exhibition stand construction more sustainable - without any additional expense for exhibitors. The ECO-Rips carpet can already be ordered in the typical colors and does not differ from conventional exhibition carpets in terms of durability and appearance. After use, all carpets are collected, pressed in Nuremberg, transported to the manufacturer, shredded there and processed into new carpets and floor coverings, which are then used again at trade fairs. Thanks to the 100 percent recyclability, there is no waste whatsoever.
Sustainable exhibition stand construction: resource-saving and efficient
In addition to sustainable flooring, the choice of stand construction method also contributes significantly to the sustainability of trade fairs. System stand construction offers clear advantages over conventional, individually manufactured stand construction: The reusability of the stand modules results in less waste and the use of materials is also significantly reduced. At the same time, the flexible design elements enable a wide range of stand sizes and individual designs. This makes system stand construction sustainable overall and more economical for exhibitors.
