Ravensburger launched Play+
Ravensburger has begun the launch of its consumer marketing program for the new Play+ infant and toddler line.
“Play+” is the name of the new series for babies and toddlers from Ravensburger. It comprises 35 toys, playful books and puzzles for the holistic early development of children. “It all starts with Play": Ravensburger has incorporated all of the brand's historical experience into the newly designed range and developed the products together with educational experts to meet the highest quality standards. The Plus stands for innovative special features in the products as well as several play options in one, which grow with the development of the children.

It all starts with Play
“It all starts with Play": the motto of the new series underlines the concept approach, which is based on children's natural curiosity and play instinct. Alexander Löhr, International Category Director Infant / Toddler at Ravensburger says: “”Play+” should be fun for children and encourage their urge to discover. This also reassures parents in their upbringing and gives them the confidence to support their child in the best possible way.” In this way, Ravensburger is supporting the new generation of young parents. “We surveyed families in France, England and Germany and tested our products with them,” reports the expert. According to the results, young parents want their children to have fun, be emotional and have their eyes light up, but they also want targeted development of physical, intellectual and social-emotional skills.
“Play+” offers everything in one
The “Play+” project team has developed a range of cardboard picture books, toys and puzzles for the age group 0 to 36 months that is precisely tailored to these needs and to the findings on the scientific and socio-cultural background gained from expert interviews. It appeals specifically to children, while at the same time taking into account the needs of parents and usually offering several play options in one. In terms of content, the program follows the Ravensburger brand values of “joy, education and togetherness”. Ravensburger has a lot of experience in the area of “learning through play” and interprets “Play+” in a contemporary way with innovative details.
For example, the current shape sorter has the shape and characteristics of a chameleon that can change its body color depending on the task. The books tell a variety of stories and offer many opportunities for parents and children to talk, such as the sliding books, which deal with topics such as feelings or bedtime rituals. In the books, parents will also find tips and suggestions on how to help their children deal with these situations. In principle, the “Play+” novelties encourage children to make their own discoveries and engage in independent activities.

In terms of quality, the new toys are made of high-quality textiles, wood, silicone, plastic or untearable book pages as well as unusual combinations of these. What they all have in common is a modern, contemporary design. It appeals to parents and children alike with emotional illustrations and offers a variety of play forms, functions and suggestions. The standards of content and material quality are so high that the program can withstand several owners and thus contribute to sustainability.
