Spielwarenmesse expands position as global industry event

Spielwarenmesse has successfully maintained its unique leading role on the world market: from January 30 to February 3, the entire industry came together at the Nuremberg Exhibition Center for its only global event of the year. 2,354 exhibitors from 68 countries - 10 percent more than last year - took the opportunity to showcase their trends and innovations.

57.000 visitors from 125 nations

In addition to product innovations, the 57,000 visitors, who came from 125 different nations, were treated to a variety of networking opportunities and plenty of inspiration on the hot topic of kids. Overall, over 90 percent of exhibitors are satisfied with their participation.

“Center of the toy universe“

"Spielwarenmesse is the center of the toy universe," explains Jennifer McIver from Wishbone Design Studio.

"We can show our new products to so many countries in one place. And we also discover the latest trends here." With its focus themes, the Spielwarenmesse has once again proven to be the driving force in the industry.

Promising future

"We found the focus topic 'Kidults' particularly interesting, which we were happy to take up as part of the new products," says Fischertechnik Managing Director Thomas Bußhart. With the special area "Life's a Playground - Toys for Kidsters, Kidults & Co.", an international study and expert presentations, the Spielwarenmesse focused on the target group of adults in order to offer the trade promising ideas for the future.

"Well-known exhibitors such as Mattel have taken up 'Kidults' in a big way. But the market figures from the market research company Circana also prove that we have tapped into the zeitgeist," emphasizes Christian Ulrich.
