Spin Master named global distributor for Punirunes

Japan's popular virtual pet, Punirunes, will launch in the US this summer as Spin Master has a new license agreement to distribute the digital pets that are already a huge hit in Japan. Since its launch in 2021, Punirunes has sold more than 700,000 copies in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau.

As part of the agreement, Spin Master will use its global network to distribute the Japanese toy manufacturer's Punirunes products at all major retailers, including Walmart, Target and Amazon, starting in August.

Over 55 characters

Targeted at children ages five and up, the product features a color LCD screen and more than 55 characters that can be collected, cared for, played with and customized with a variety of accessories. Punirune's pets also feature a unique soft button that, when touched, mirrors the user's movements on the screen as if they were actually touching and interacting with their new digital friend.
