Strong numbers for BLE 2024

Nearly 10,000 (9.649) trade visitors from the licensing industry attended Brand Licensing Europe (BLE), a 19 percent increase over the 2022 total. Last year's total attendance was surpassed by 1 p.m. on the second day of the show. The total attendance of 1,116 retailers from 57 countries was the highest in BLE's history.

“This year’s retail presence has been incredible, with really strong attendance from fashion and toys releases,” says Laura Freedman-Dagg, head of retail, Informa Markets. “We’ve also seen an increase in gift and novelty retailers as well as value retailers like Poundland, Matalan, Pepco and Primark. It’s brilliant seeing the retail strategy we introduced in 2021 really paying off to the benefit of the entire industry.”

This year's BLE also broke records in terms of the number of retailers and visitors from France, Germany, Italy and Spain.
