Toy City is the city with the highest star density in Germany
With nine restaurants awarded by the Michelin Guide, the trade fair metropolis of Nuremberg has the most Michelin stars per capita of any major German city. This is the result of a recent analysis by the food blog "Chef's Pencil". The city in central Franconia is ranked 13th in the world, and is even ranked 8th in Europe.
Center for fine dining
"Nuremberg has developed into a center for fine dining," says Yvonne Coulin, Managing Director of the Congress and Tourism Center Nuremberg (CTZ). "With a growing number of Michelin-starred restaurants and a remarkable density of fine dining restaurants, the city is an outstanding destination for lovers of fine dining." The restaurants Waidwerk, Tisane, Veles, ZweiSinn Meiers, Koch und Kellner, Entenstuben and - new this year - Restaurant Wonka have all been awarded a Michelin star. Restaurant etz and Essigbrätlein have been awarded two stars and the Green Star.
