The Digital Point of Sale

Digitalisation comes with challenges. At the same time however, it offers retailers important ways to shape the stationary point of sale.

What additional value can be generated for both consumers and retailers by using digital technologies at the stationary POS? What should you pay attention to when integrating such technology into existing store structures? And which digital medium suits your business and objectives?

The presentation will address these and other questions from a practical perspective and offer ideas for digitalising the POS.

Svenya Scholl, socialPALS


From July 2019 to February 2022, Svenya Scholl was a project officer at the SME 4.0 Competence Center Retail at IFH COLOGNE, which is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology. At the Competence Center, she worked on topics related to the online visibility of retail companies. In particular, small and medium-sized enterprises are in the focus with questions around social media and SEO aspects. Since April 2022 she is Junior Account Manager at the online marketing company socialPALS. She studied social sciences at the Philipps University of Marburg and market and media research at the TH Cologne.
