The Spielwarenmesse 2021 Summer Edition cancelled in July

The first-ever Summer Edition of the world-renowned Spielwarenmesse in Nuremberg was to open its doors this July after being postponed in January. In its role as organiser, Spielwarenmesse eG had pulled out all the stops to provide the industry with a suitable networking platform this year. Following the unrelenting uncertainty surrounding the coronavirus pandemic both on a national and international level, it has been decided to cancel the event and to focus instead on Spielwarenmesse 2022.

Spielwarenmesse 2022: Most important industry network launches digital platform for live event

In 2022, the world’s leading trade fair for toys is launching an innovative business platform known as Spielwarenmesse Digital. In doing so, the organiser is responding to the needs of both visitors and exhibitors by combining the indispensable live event with a range of digital opportunities. The new feature will be introduced at the Spielwarenmesse after next, which is due to open its doors from 2 to 6 February 2022. Companies can already sign up from 1 March 2021.

Spielwarenmesse BrandNew: Innovation presentation triggers excellent industry response

The digital service Spielwarenmesse BrandNew has been offering focused information about this year’s innovations and trends in the toy sector since 25 January. The forward-looking format has met with a positive response from industry experts. In the first five days alone, the Nuremberg-based organiser recorded 55,442 visitors and more than 400,000 actions on its website. Particularly during launch week, companies also used the Spielwarenmesse social media channels to present their innovative products to the international market.

Spielwarenmesse BrandNew: The innovation countdown has begun

The digital service Spielwarenmesse BrandNew has met with an excellent response from the toy industry. So far, more than 300 companies have registered to use the offering provided by the world’s leading toy fair. From start-ups to well-established manufacturers, these international suppliers will be unveiling more than 4,000 new products to retailers and buyers on the Spielwarenmesse’s media channels. The platform launches on 25 January.
