Model Construction

Supersonic bomber in two versions

Tupolev TU-22M3 and TU-22M3M

Product description

In the 1/200 scale, the Tupolev TU-22M3 and TU-22M3M complete Herpa’s series of Russian strategic bombers, following the TU-95 and TU-160.

Almost 500 units of the supersonic long-range bomber were built between 1967 and 1997. Herpa is planning two model versions: one of the TU-22M3 currently still in service, as well as the modernized TU-22M3M. On the latter, the tail gun below the vertical stabilizer can be replaced with additional electronics for self-defense, just like on the original.

Both models scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2021 feature removable landing gears and pivoting wings. This allows the models of the strategic Russian bomber to be displayed with either extended or bent wings.
