Star Wars „March to May the 4th“ startet in New York City

On March 21, the new Star Wars "March to May the 4th" campaign kicked off in New York City with the announcement of new products, including toys, apparel, accessories, collectibles and more. 

Kicking off at the Empire State Building

The campaign kicked off with a takeover of the Empire State Building, including a lighting ceremony featuring Hayden Christensen, who portrays one of the most recognizable antagonists of all time, Darth Vader, synchronized to John Williams' "The Imperial March (Darth Vader's Theme)" and culminated in a spectacular dynamic light show on the facade of the world-famous New York landmark.

The five-minute light show featured scenes from the Star Wars saga, with a special focus on fan-favorite villains such as Darth Vader, Emperor Palpatine, Stormtroopers and many more.The Empire State Building takeover features interactive photo moments showcasing new Star Wars products in storefront windows and on the observation deck. 

Star Wars display

The building's famous Fifth Avenue lobby windows feature a special Star Wars display with images of Darth Vader, Darth Maul and Stormtroopers amid an array of Star Wars merchandise. Select promotions throughout the building and around the Lookout Point experience will be open to the public through April 29.

Hasbro and Amazon teaming up

On the second floor of the Empire State Building, Hasbro and Amazon have teamed up to create a Star Wars experience that has something for every Star Wars fan. The immersive shopping experience will offer visitors photo opportunities with costumed characters, including DarthVader, and photo backdrops featuring iconic scenes from the films. Visitors can try on the latest Hasbro Black Series helmets or pick up the lightsabers of their favorite FX Elite or Kyber Core LIGHTSABER characters for adults and kids. The Hasbro and Amazon experience is open to the public through Saturday, March 23.

Leading up to May 4

Disney Store collections launching in the weeks leading up to May 4 include the limited-edition "May the 4th" collectible pin and mug and an exciting collection in honor of the 25th anniversary of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. The Disney Store also announces The Sith Apprentice: Darth Maul Legacy LIGHTSABER TM Set - Limited Edition, with light and sound effects, launching May 4, 2024.
